Clan War

A clan war is a 5v5 match on a rented server: the server itself runs the match, counts the rounds and, when the match is played out, writes it into the site scoreboard.

Getting a server ready

  1. Rent a server (or ask the owner to add you as a helper) — clan war commands belong to the owner and his helpers.
  2. Open My Servers and switch ClanWar on. The option is there on every de_ and cs_ map.
  3. Pick the ClanWar format and decide whether a tied match goes to overtime.
  4. Both teams join, and the match starts with the knife round.

On any other map (aim_, fy_, awp_, tr_ and the rest) the clan war commands simply do not exist. If ClanWar is off, the commands answer you in chat instead of staying silent — that message tells you exactly what is missing.

If someone drops out of a live 5v5, the server pauses for 60 seconds by itself and resumes as soon as he is back (up to 3 times per match).

How the stats are recorded

The game server counts the match itself: kills, deaths, headshots and rounds played for every player, for both halves and the overtime. Nothing depends on your browser.

A match reaches the scoreboard when all of this is true:

A match stopped with /stop before the end, or abandoned and left running, is not saved — the server says so in chat and names the reason. A finished match shows up in the scoreboard within about a minute, with the score by halves, every player's K/D and headshots, and the MVP.

Why a match was not saved

A match that sees no rounds for 10 minutes is dropped by the server, and the room goes back to its normal settings.
