First off, just want to thank those running this, I'm a bit older and have have been playing CS since some time around beta .5 in '99 so it's super nostalgic and fun to just hop into a browser-based ver.

My only real issue is that my sound seems mono, or at least the positioning seems way off, tried both on speakers and gaming headphones,
I can hear if someone is near or far, but not left or right. Is this a known thing? or just me? Thanks

The sound problem is known and cannot be fixed at the moment.
